How long?

Post by Hurghada Lady »

I wonder what everyone was thinking this topic was going to be about LOL.

How long do you spend each day at your computers, this does not include for work.

I seem to be leaving everything else and some of theses things are important, just keep thinking I will do it later, then later comes and I decide I will do it tomorrow.

Is anyone else having the same problem?

when I'm working I might spend a couple of hours but if I'm on days off I'm on and off the computer all day unless I go out.

I spend about 9 hours a day on the computer now! More actually!!! I'd say 1-2 hours amount to surfing and checking emails etc, chatting. The rest is writing up my dissertation and hunting for references. The couple hours are just stuffed in between....

My computer usage differs greatly depending what I'm doing!!! When I'm studying or just at home, I'm like CC, I'm on and off all day. When I'm working on tours, I'm lucky if I get one hour per week on the computer....

Oh I'm so happy I was not the first to answer this...! But now you have all confessed and it seems we all have the same problem!

I am now (after watching Oprah today) seriously thinking of cutting down on computer time and to spend more time actually living...

That was going to be my answer too.

It is far too easy when I'm writing to just pop on the net and see whats happening, so my book is taking longer to write than anticipated.

It's always on so I use it as and when.....

That may add up to less than an hour or if I am doing something interesting, 5, 6 or 7 hours.

It's a servant to answer all my questions as well as a worktool, but now, I would be lost without it.

I have my own office/den with two PCs, television and a goodly supply of refreshments. I will spend around 4 hours each evening on my PC, but Mrs H who loves reading, is within calling distance  so we are still very good friends

The perfect partnership Horus - what more could you ask?
I am away without my other half and it is lovely.....no nagging how long I am on my laptop - my friend is happy to just read, which I also like to do if I get the time :)
