TV we enjoyed as a child

Post by Christine »

On the literary section we have digressed (oh yes we have ;) ) into a discussion about TV we watched when we were young, its amazing how much we can remember.
What TV did you all enjoy when you were young.
We have Bonanza and The high Chaparal at the moment, anyone remember anymore :?: Should have added we also have Little House on the Prairie, and The Waltons, have been mentioned :)

Old children's TV

Post by Claire »

Yeah I remember lots of the old children's programmes you mention here. You can actually find some of them on youtube if you are sad enough to look! I used to like the Clangers myself and Crackerjack.
Did any of you watch 'Carrie's War' on TV? That was one of my favourites.

Fell of my chair! Yep that's the one she'll mean Christine ;)

I still watch the Champions, or do while I'm here.

The Professionals, The Sweeney, Starsk and Hutch, Cagney and Lacey - proper cop programs ;) No political correctness in sight.

So true, not so dark and brooding either, actual entertainment for entertainment value, Zcars, No Hiding Place 2 more old favs, we were meant to be in bed as littluns when half of these shows were on but we would sneak down the stairs and watch the telly through the crack in the door, sat quietly on the bottom 2 steps :)
