Relocation to hurghada

i am considering buying an apartment in hurghada as a permenant residence,but i fear it may be a bit of a nightmare getting a residence visa as i have heard many conflicting stories.it it really so hard to relocate to egypt with a family..any nhelp or advise would be helpful..

Hi Predator, if you buy an apartment or house worth more than US$50,000 you automatically get an entitlement to a resident visa I believe.

HurghadaLady will know more for sure.

thanks guys,but i read somewhere that i would have to travel up near alexandra to obtain the visa,is this true or is there a more local office near or in hurghada

About the only thing that's missing here in Hurghada is a British Embassy - virtually all other transactions can be sorted here within Hurghada.

Certain paperwork has to be sent off to Cairo but you won't find yourselves travelling back and forth.

Ah, soon to be resolved tho ;)

Saw Mr Nabeel today, he wasn't happy, but still lovely and polite. Had no idea who you and Gamal were when I spoke to him. Tomorrow could be different with him ;)

I'm having arguments with them everyday as I can't afford 15 LE every day I go there, so I need you to come out and bargain for me!

Oh dear what you paying 15 a day for? use of the beach?
You should have told him Gamal from luxor that might have jogged his addled brain, poor old love he gets so forgetfull.

Yep, for use of the beach, although there are other people there who don't pay. Reception wouldn't have it though.

And yes I mentioned Gamal from Luxor but he just shook his head and muttered. I haven't asked him about getting in free, he didn't seem too happy today.

I bet he does know ,its amaizing if you offer him an extra 5 he will remember .

Lee he mutters when he is unhappy about something, could be he hasnt seen gamal for months and is unhappy about that, but anyway that will all be resolved as you say soon ;)
