I was told that if the clocks were put forward here, it would mean a longer fast and not enough time between the opening and then closing of the next fast.
Thats why decision was made not to put clocks forward.

Just been told by my cousin they will change it when Ramadan comes and then change again and continue ,but anyway i would not let it bother me your going to know sooner or later .Oh the joys ...
Clocks will go forward one hour on Friday 30th April at midnight and then go back again on Friday 06th August in time for Ramadan which will begin on Tuesday 10th August.

Yeah last year the clocks changed in Egypt at the start of Ramadan as well.
Well, as if things weren't confusing enough, people on the Blue side (actually by emails and PM's) are saying time change is tonight. They said "It is always Thursday night"!
