is it first time out of Egypt? if so then yes they have to use Egyptair however if they live outside of Egypt and are only visiting for a few weeks then they can travel with other airlines, it is best to check with individual airlines as to their rules. The egyptian consulate in the UK told me that no airline should refuse travel but that it is always best to check. Thomas Cook do filght only but Thomson won't and neither will Monarch as they insist a full holiday is booked and not just flight only (money grabbing barstewards). Easyjet have said in the past that flight only is ok. Can't speak for any others, sorry. Before I am shot down I AM speaking from personal experience :)

you coming Uk welcome , on a spouce visa if your coming if that it is i presume you need to make sure your married papers are with you and any preferable letters sometimes they check more some days than others ?
other than u should have no problem. Even though you have the visa its when you arrive here that they are the ones that give you entry clearance so must be Egypt air you travel with .
If it work visa or student still have all the relativlely documents on hand ok and know where your going to be living that is a must .
good luck

just to add to the last post regarding papers, if its your husband make sure his passport has the appropriate discharge stamp in it from the army or he may get stopped at the egypt side.
