Mine is Heights, Claustrophobia, Needles and the lizards here.
There was a lizard in the bedroom once, I jumped on the bed and screamed to my husband pointing to the lizard, he started running for the door because he is also frightened of them, as he started running past the bed I jumped on his back and he carried me out piggy back style

Anything with more than 4 legs! and I'm with Hurghada Lady about the lizards, when I was in Luxor they were a huge problem for me, as soon as I heard the 'clicking' my windows and shutters were firmly closed and I'd block up as many gaps as I could hoping they wouldn't get in but somehow they managed to. I was told Raid would kill them. I had one in my bathroom so I sprayed practically the whole can in there and closed the door. Next morning I went to check and sure enough it was dead as a dodo but I couldn't pick it up and had to get my friend round to remove it!
Don't get them here in Sharm

Crikey! I must be normal!
On a side note: There was a lizard in my spare bathroom yesterday. Lizards don't particularly bother me, but they do tend to freak out Mr G a bit. So I tried to think of ways to kill it (drowning doesn't work!) and I really tried hard, but couldn't bring myself to kill it. Later on I told Mr G, told him if he wanted it dead he'd have to do it himself because I couldn't ....... and stun me but he said if it didn't bother me it didn't bother him! Wish he'd confessed that earlier since I must have tortured that poor lizard holding it under water!
The lizard has now gone - it probably has a fear of humans now (Not on the list!)

Woo Hoo!!!!! I've got a signature!
Wow that sounds posh, my spare bathroom!
Aalso forgot, I have a phobia of mice and rats too, but not as bad as the bat and needle phobia.
also don't like birds flapping, so if someone has a budgie and its out of its cage in their house, I'm out of the house!

Yep. I have a spare bathroom, Doesn't everyone??!
Birds flapping! Wow - is it ok if they flap when you're outside??
I'm really wracking my brain trying to think of something - but all mine are just really daft ones that I'm sure I could overcome if I put my Steel Pants on. Persian cats freak me out a tad - but that's only because one launched itself across a room and latched it's claws into my throat.
Birds flapping! Wow - is it ok if they flap when you're outside??

Bad experiences, when I was very small we were going up to Scotland and while waiting for the train to leave, dad got off to do something and then the train left without him or so I'd thought (he'd actually got on further down the train) this set off a massive panic attack, apparently I was unconsolable until he got back to us. With buses just had a few very bad drivers, the worst being when we were coming back from Blackpool, I was convinced he'd been drinking, how he didn't kill us all I don't know.
crazy by name.....crazy by nature
Gosh, how do you cope with the driving in Egypt then??Crazycat wrote:Bad experiences, when I was very small we were going up to Scotland and while waiting for the train to leave, dad got off to do something and then the train left without him or so I'd thought (he'd actually got on further down the train) this set off a massive panic attack, apparently I was unconsolable until he got back to us. And in response to Goddess, if birds outside launch themselves at me, then no, I don't like it! But it is more about being in a confined space with them and this stems from when I was a child when a blackbird flew into my little box-room bedroom and panicked flapping around the window, and guess where my bed was? Right under the window, I guess i was about 4 years old at the time. Frightened me to death it did.
Right, need to hear the story about the fisherman and his rod!
Wealth comes like a turtle and goes away like a gazelle. (Arabic proverb)
I think most of the cars I've been in when in egypt have nail marks in the seats where I've gripped themGosh, how do you cope with the driving in Egypt then??
I try and suck it up but if someone were to get hold of my hands they'd find they were really cold and clammy, can't get out quick enough

Curious about how often Birds divebomb Lisak??!!!
We used to have a lake on the outskirts of our village, with a tiny path all round it with HUNDREDS of fishermen and rods. (We had a canal too with the same problem - couldn't get away from bloomin fishermen!)
I've never actually got attached to one - but I have a great fear they'll do that backwards flicky thing at the wrong moment and I'll be skewered and flung out to sea (I believe I weigh ounces, you see!) I get all clammy when I have to walk behind one - and my little heart races and I have been known to break into a run!
I thought with moving out of my village and moving to Egypt I'd be safe from the Wrath of Rod - sadly they all line up down the corniche now, waiting to flick me out to sea.
