Your Plan
Are you worried about the ecomonic situation throughout the world - will you have to change anything in your life to oversee this period...... Who is to blame...
I am very worried, it obviously has affected the exchange rate minimizing how far my money will go. It is also affecting the cost of property and will affect the value of the one i currently own. Luckily it is a long term investment so it will not affect the price i hope.
It is time to watch the pennies and not be as free-flowing spending my money. I always have been cautious about wasting money but have already started going out less and shopping around for the best price on the items i want.
Who's to blame.... The USA to start for not securing their economy and the big hats in the UK banks for investing stupidly over there!

I am going to try and control my spending........... try to shop less.....
The exchange rate for the sterling being low actually works to my advantage right now as I am paid in dollars and that is still ok...... so when I am changing into sterling I am getting a better rate.......
I have just bought some cheap stocks in the usa - will have to sit on them for a while though..

I was told by a friend in U.K. that it was so bad and prices very low for property, that he had just bought 3 flats in the Docklands in London for £60,000 each but they should be £350,000.
I have just been searching properties in Worcester and they don't seem to be down that much, didn't see any real bargains.

I think a lot depends on the area re house prices in the UK. We sold ours in Hampshire in November & got about £25 - £40K less than we would have at the peak but if we had waited another year we would probably have lost as much again I think we were quite lucky that Hampshire has held up pretty well price wise
