I swear I didnt google it, hand on heart! It wasnt the city a day away, I had no idea on that, it was the J, although before you put American singer I was trying to think of names from example Austria, where they don't pronounce the J or it becomes Y..........now I am confusing myself!!!

Forgot to add I also like his song Somethings Gotta Hold Of My Heart.

Now I have to think of one, be back soon :)

But saying as you like the song, i will post it anyway :)

"I'm so dizzy my head is spinning and i'ts you girl making it spin"
then I thought
"Shiela, Shiela, you'll know her when you see her, blue eyes and a pony tail"
Is it Tommy Roe? :P

I am here :) just thought I would let you talk amongst yourselves for a bit before saying:
Spoiler
WRONG!
You are however correct about John Merrick being owned by a hospital, it was The Royal London hospital, but there is also William Burke of 'Burke and Hare' bodysnatchers fame, who skeleton is kept in the Edinburgh Medical College.

Next clue: 'I am an excellent swordsman and sometimes chase shadows'
