I saw the ultimate in dangerous driving this morning.
Waiting to come out on to the dual carriage from Magawish this morning, a man who I presume is the father, driving, on his mobile, baby on his knee, other toddler standing on the passenger seat, hands on the dashboard.
The car was weaving all over the road. Another accident waiting to happen.
On a lighter note, I am so pleased that Michael Schumacher has come out of retirement and is now living and driving in Hurghada. I think he must be employed by two of the Hotels here. The speed limit obviously does not apply, neither does using lights when it is dark. No need to indicate for this driver, just a flash of the headlights and away he goes that is after driving right on your bumper until the very last minute and then swerving out.
Am I the only stupid person who actually indicates to show I am going to overtake a car? Am I the only stupid person who sticks to the speed limit?

Sounds like driving in Hurghada is much more fun than being a passenger!! At home I can be quite a fast driver on long trips, but safe at all times my other half is an impatient and fast driver who also shouts alot in the car finds that being a passenger in taxis a very scary experience! He has driven all over the workd but refuses to drive in Egypt!
A day without laughter is a day wasted!
I don't even blink at 3 on a motorbike any more, only when it gets to 5 do I think Urmmm
I never expect a donkey cart or bike to go the right way & always look both ways before pulling out on a 1 way street. It will be interesting driving in the UK next month, I will really miss the donkeys, they have far more sense than most drivers
