Please help!

Post by New Gal »

Got my best mates 30th birthday in December but she cant have any time off then as is a store manager so as she has a few days leave in October, was thinking of doing something then but can't think what to do. Was going to take her away as she doesn't want a big party etc but she only has three-four days leave, not enough to go abroad really. And its mid week too.

Thought of Ireland but shes just split from her ex who took her there a few months back so didnt want it to become a trip down memory lane.

Was thinking of going to Glasgow or Edinburgh? Bit of shopping, maybe an afternoon in a spa?

Any other ideas?

I would appreciate any help!

How about a trip to London to see a show and a spa or even better Paris for the weekend ~ you can also get really good deals for 3/4 day trip to Spain.

My friend is off from Thursday 15 Oct to Sun 18th but is in London for work that following Monday 19th so even though I did think London, I don’t think she will want to be to and from there!

Might go and see what my travel agent can do.

Thanks for your suggestions xxx

Hi everyone and thanks for all your responses.

Think we may be off to Amsterdam for three nights on a mini cruise.

The original deal was two nights for £40 per person to leave from Hull (!) Thursday 15 October around 5pm, sail overnight and have a full day in Amsterdam, return to Hull early Sat 17th October.

I am going to add a night on I think.

Can’t wait! x

Ah bless, hope you get it booked if you want to go, it seems really popular. I’m also working tomorrow but am going to go and book the cruise after I finish.

So knackered and need a lie-in however, I figure if I work hard now, once I am in Hurghada, its P-A-R-T-Y TIME ALL THE TIME!!!!!

NG i went on a mini cruise to Denmark a while back now , i had a great time , but sad to say it was the first time i had experienced sea sickness :(
all i will say is if you know if you or your friend has a delicate stomach i think october will be a bit choppy on the crossing !!! dont want to sound negative but i never thought about it before i went and spent most of the day in denmark walking around like i was still on the boat !!
still managed to go shopping though  and had to numb it with alchohol on the return ;)
have a great time if you go there i hear its a great place
