Well done NG, it was Boudica,

(Boo-deeka) or Boadicea as she is better known. Married to Prasutagus king of the Icenii tribe in the East of Britain. Upon his death he left half of his kingdom to the Roman rulers and the other half to his wife and daughters, they were not happy with this and wanted it all. She was dragged out and flogged and her two young daughters were raped before her eyes, this led her to provoke an uprising amongst the British tribes that nearly caused the emperor Nero to withdraw from Britain. A statue of her driving her chariot stands in London.
