Off on our travels again on Wednesday....
Going to England for an eye operation this Wednesday... will stay with my daughter, visit friends etc. for 3 weeks...
Then... 2 weeks transatlantic cruise back to Florida.... the best way to see Europe!! (well, it was a choice of 10 hours on Economy class flight, or 2 weeks of being pampered.... which would you choose!!??
)
I'll be online in England.... but internet on the cruise ship is ridiculously expensive, so I'll be offline from 23 Nov to 6 Dec.
Hopefully I'll get a chance to visit our friends Semsema and Mr. C!!

No worries about cabin fever, Scott.... our last transatlantic cruise was 11 days... and wasn't long enough... so 2 weeks is perfect!!
Lots of nice ports to stop at too!!
I could happily LIVE on a cruise ship!!

Pat, Lee and Cocoa..... thanks for all your good wishes, and Cocoa... thanks for the Dua!!
Pat... thats the only bad thing about cruises....24-hour great food.... too tempting!!
But.... we try to go to the gym on the ship every day...and walk the stairs instead of taking the lits!!
Getting ready to leave now.... coffee, shower, and out the door!!
I'll be online at daughters house for the next 3 weeks.... so will keep in touch.
Also... have a trip planned to see our friend Semsema and Mr. C.
For newer members that don't know Sem, she's a moderator here.... a lovely lady, and very dear friend, who lived and worked in Hurghada for many years with her husband (both from Scotland)
Mr C's health made it necessary for them to fly back to the UK a while ago.
Looking forward to seeing them both!!

You're right, Cocoa.... I'm in England now.... after the WORST EVER flight !!!
Uncomfortable seats, lousy food.... cr*p entertainment... and a screaming kid all the way!! Got no sleep all night!!!
Went to the hospital to see the consultant about my eye op..... she said it had got worse, and needed op immediately, instead of comingbacknext week!!
So..... had it done (by laser, under local anaesthetic) and it's all done now!!
Just got to go back next week for a follow-up check.
Karen.... thanks fgor your good wishes!!
Cocoa.... your dua was answered... everything went great!! Thank you!!
The weather's unusually mild for the end of October.... but it'll all change for the weekend.... rain expected!
3 more bweeks in England before the cruise..... might squeeze in a week in Spain or something before we go back... I don't consider England a holiday... and operations sorted now... it was the main purpose of our visit!!
