Yes i am off in Easter ,we got 3 shops being buillt at this present time ,want to go and look ,not sure what my sils will be doing with it .
Plus i am a carer and i help run with a lady from Canada a support group for children with dissabilities at the moment we only allow 10 mothers and got 2 dads as well on it ,but we keep it short so we can do a one to one support for them .We each take it in turns to do a night shift .
The website is secure and only to register can you see in other than that nothing to look at with out registering ,owing to the security reasons we have in place .I am not allowed to give out the site its up to the owner and who she takes on board but all is good .I mainly sit and listen while they let all of it out the stress .We have one mum and dad at the moment on there who has a terminal ill child so we there for them .There is about six officers who listen and take it in turns to take a shift other than always someone on hand ,we also have one registered nurse on board .
They are Thinking of putting it on Facebook but in a entirely different way ,more links and help for the parents .
You think this is good .
I also do one weekend a month in the police force .

It sounds like very challenging work CB but worthwhile.
How important to have someone you can confide your fears to, or just let off steam.
Sounds to me like u enjoy being kept busy.
And it should also be noted that privacy polices are a good thing, so having these safeguards in place make it more comfortable for people going through trauma.
I work for Mencap and have done so for many years, and we have similar policies.

Yes your so right and we also have to deal with like Phone nos and data as well ,The site which is mainly run by in Canada is a link off another site ,but she sticks with 10 so there is a one to one, having too many at that this time would be a failure .Your checked and CRB as well being i am from here i done mine then send it on by fax through police stamp as well that it was secured .Because your dealing with children as well ,every one goes through a check and i have a mentor here because i get sometimes emotional as well when we hear or have to deal with things ,but patients dont see this .I meet with my mentor every 3months depending where and which country the mentor is operating from ,i got rest now for the next fortnight but i am still about .
Mencap wanted me to work for them here i was going too but decided not too owing i got no time here and there owing to having a child with needs who can also keep me up at night as well .i have had one week nearly with out her and i know shes had enough where she is and i am gonna have alot tonight on me plate
Keep good work up Christine people like you are hard to fined
