And its at my own expense!
When on my latest trip to Luxor, i was scalded by hot coffee, on my knee, the knee was sorted out nicely by thomsons staff, and the local hossy and pharmacy, ably supported by my mate Gamal.
Well then Gamal took it upon himself to look after me for the rest of my stay, which sounds fine dosent it.
The only problem was he insisted on helping me in and out of the car, ok, fine but it was a burnt knee not a broken leg or anything, so by day 3 i was getting a tad frustrated with him (bless).
I had repeatedly told him that i could manage fine without his help, so eventually he gave up.
On the very same day about 2 hours later in fact, he had brought us all back to our hotel from a shopping trip and didnt come round to get me out of the car, so i unbuckle the seat belt, grab up my little bit of shopping and my hand bag and out i get................. on all fours in front of the hotel, on the pavement, my shopping in front of me , my bag somewhere near my head!!!!!!
My foot had got tangled in the shopping bag and the seat belt
The folk on duty at the door rushed forward to help me up, but can you even begin to imagine how smug gamal was, now dont you just hate it when stuff like this happens
There was no further injury apart from my pride that is!!
A little humour

The worst thing is our hotel is not on the road its in the background and many cars drop u near the entrance so all did see ..U make me laugh .xxxx
Christine you sound like me If there was a featehr on the floor I would trip over it! Glad your ok.
When I arrived at Sharm airport i was at the front of the queue heading towards the transfer bus with suitcases and hubbie in tow and I fell flat on my face ~ everyone asked if i was okay apart from hubbie! I got up really quickly and then on the bus realised that I had ripped my new Jasper Conran Jeans and my kneees were bleeding ~ what sight when checking into the hotel! 2 weeks round the pool with grazed knees and huge bruises which are just fading now!

A day without laughter is a day wasted!
I know the feeling KH, i spent my week in Luxor failing to hide my scalded leg, looked ever so sweet when 6 blisters rose and started to pop, looked like i had contracted some kind of plague!!!!
Nice deep colour of red as well, oh sooo attractive
And the thing is im not small im shall we say a well built lady and im 5ft 9ins tall so quite an imposing figure anyway, so i guess it was a bit daft trying to hide any of me really!!
