This was apparently an un mittigated successaccording to rumour on the Blue side.

Quite a lot of us attended and it was a really enjoyable day.
However, the main theme of the day was the series of excellent lectures on the Luxor West Bank antiquities since the time of Carters discovery of Tutankamun's tomb. Some very high profile egyptologists spoke including, of course, Zahi Hawass himself.
The SCA used this event to test the possiblity for an annual symposium to be held on the West Bank. Positive feedback was given at the end of the symposium so we hope this will become an annual event.
