I need some help here please

Hello all
I don't often venture on to this side but I couldn't get on to the blue and I do have a question about the Red Sea so seemed a good choice
My sister who has never been to Egypt before (and would probably hate it) is thinking of going to Sharm for a break and asked me which hotel I thought she would like. Well I have no idea where to tell her so thought probably somone here could help me.
They want somewhere they can just chill by the pool, wander to a local restaurant for a meal in the evening and look around a 'souk'
They don't really do 'real' and that's why I don't think they would enjoy Luxor. She hated Istanbul so you can see what I'm getting at
They fancied the Old Winter Palace if they went to Luxor so that's probably the kind of thing they would be after.
Any suggestons please for a hotel ?

The winter palace i went in there last year ,not to stay was over my budget ,but i had tea and scones there ,very nice .the gardens are amaising ..
other than that never been to sharm dont think i would ever but i hear its nice .

Hi depending on the price range she wants to pay for you have The Hyatt which is nice but only B & B or you have numerous all inclusive ones some need a taxi ride to namma bay or old sharm some within walking distance

Cocoabutter I'm familiar with the Winter Palce in Luxor but Thanks anyway, I've been in several times but like you I've never stayed there. I know all the hotels in Luxor well but have no idea what to reccomend on the Red Sea.Our family keep asking ''when is my sister going to visit them in Luxor'' and I know they would love to meet her but I am just not sure how she would handle it and I wouldn't feel comfortable I know that sounds terrible but you don't know my sister

i stay at the lotus every year 58 rooms not on the street well away from the street has its own little bazar and shops underneath and its right on the nile i love it ,but i mainly keep to it cause my girl is autistic and dont like much change .so its just nice and quaint and being a ex policemans hotel its got lots of security .
but hey all to each others preferances .

Oh beleive me i never visit my family they are on the other side of Egypt the war area i tend to keep far .
i went last year and never told a soul out there i was going lol thats what i am like as well .Just wanted to be me and my girl .
Going end of the year insha to see family but we shall see .Sometimes if they can they come to me i dont like my husbands city much no forigners
