Hello, as Christine is having a rest I will ask you ??? -- have you decided where to go yet?? Its quite nice here now most of the tourists have gone, the roads are empty and there are lovely things to see when you hire your car. The small cafes out in the country make good food and people are friendly. you only need one word - OBRIGADA- thankyou .! !

Hi Jayway
yes we have decided...my partner and i are heading to norfolk for a week with our faithful (ish) hound...(well faithful as long as we are in control of the gravy bones)....we've found a very quiet looking set of holiday homes with sea views.
and then the rather gorgeous and wonderful Netyoda (yes i am biassed - he is my best friend after all) has agreed to put up with me invading his flat for another week at new year...so i'm going to take him out drinking, eating, dancing and carousing to celebrate the arrival of 2011 and compensate for the fact that he will be discovering my stray hairs for weeks afterwards....

Hope you enjoy your Norfolk trip, you must be hardy souls -
I hate the rain and have had quite enough to last me for a lifetime-- Quite near to Death Valley is my dream home - never ever rains (only radioactive fallout I think - -
