El Gouna

El Gouna is not quite the sleepy little Red Sea Riviera town it’s made up to be! Such a mixed crowd of kite surfers, divers and sun-worshippers can only mean great parties and a great atmosphere. Although El Gouna has been growing steadily over the past few years, the nightlife is still intimate and cozy even if there is a lot more choice these days.

During feasts and holidays El Gouna shows another, even livelier side. Most venues organize special festivities, daytime dance marathons and special concerts to cater to all of El Gouna’s guest at those times.

But regardless of when you come for a holiday in El Gouna, make sure you get out and enjoy the nightlife.

I would agree re El Gouna.

Thomas's at the Marina has the best Calzone I have tasted.

I never remember the name of the bistro/bakery on the corner, but their fresh bread and cakes are second to none.

Can't afford to go shopping there though as it is all designer clothes/shoes with prices to match.

El Gouna is a really nice place, once met some tourists and took them to Mangroovy beach there, it is really shallow and goes out for a long time, it is just behind the new marina to the back left of Gouna.

Went again to the Abu Tig Marina area and fell in love with the ambience, really nice architecture and some lovely restaurants around.

I think Ocean View belongs to the same man who owns Empire Hotel/ Three Corners in Dahar Hurghada. I have been inside the hotel but not in any rooms there, it looked a nice hotel. The hotel is in Abu Tig Marina, by the Crazy Golf, you are also close to the Indian Restaurant, Saigon Restaurant and Bleu Bleu, all restaurants I would recommend although Bleu Bleu is fairly pricey but excellent food.

I think you will be pleased with your holiday, although El Gouna reminds me of Portmeirion in Wales where The Prisoner was made than Egypt.

He ocean view is owned by the Three Corners chain and if you have ever been to one before (or Triton) then you can ask for a silver rewards card which gives you extras and discounts.
