Which song make you happy and which one makes you sad?

I like sad songs Not too keen on happy, let's shake it all about, type of songs No reflection on my character, mind you. I am quite a happy guy I like anything by Peter, Paul and Mary, anything by the Weavers (any of you remember them?). I also like Don Mclean .. Vincent is one of my very favourite songs, James Taylor, Jim Croce, Cat Stevens (Yusuf Islam), Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel, Harry Chapin, etc.. Anything by Gallagher & Lyle makes me happy And oh yes, the magical voice of Harry Belafonte.

This is a bit of off topic; I've noticed that most entertainment in the Red sea resorts cater more for young people. Lots of night clups with DJ's playing the latest mix of Hip-Hop, Rap, etc.. But what about us oldies Where can I find a nice duo couple playing some acoustic guitar tunes (no funky distortion, please ).

Sad : Wind beneath my wings, My heart will go on ( we could'nt stop crying when we first watched Titanic, think it lasted for about 2 hours of us all looking at each other, laughing then starting again)

Happy: Usually something i can sing along too, this varies from 70's to the 00's

Happy Songs: Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles, Good to Go to Mexico by Toby Keith, Sin Wagon by the Dixie Chicks, Let the Rivers Run by Carley Simon, Who's Your Daddy by Toby Keith.

Sad Songs: mmmmm That's Not Like Him by Carley Simon, Daniel by Elton John, Only Time by Enya (probably the ultimate sad song now as they play it everytime there is a memorial to the victims of 9/11), Home Before Dark by Judy Collins, and my personal ultimate sad song: Letting Go by Suzy Bogguss. It is a song about a mother and a daughter and the daughter is getting ready to leave for college. The year my youngest left for college, I broke down in a flood of tears everytime I heard it.

Sad song would be Fly by Celine Dion


Happy I have many but at the moment I like Gwen Setafani The Sweet Escape and have it on my mobile as a ring tone. If any one rings me I take ages to answer because I am singing along with it

The Script: The Man WHo Can't Be Moved (this is one of the best love songs I've heard in ages).
