If it is:........... Then
we slow down, before we fall down
Then it is Millennium by Robbie Williams, born up the road from me, I often pass by the inspiration for his song Angels

Actually, I forgot to post
He is from Burslem, one of the Five Towns that make up the city. His inspiration was the angel like figure on the top of the town hall building.
New song:
"I met a girl who sang the blues
And I asked her for some happy news
But she just smiled and turned away "

American Pie - Don Mclean
It took me some time to get this, I was going around singing the words until it came to me.
And I love the thought of coming home to you.

And I love the thought of coming home to you.
That's nice of you to say so
I was the same with this one, I knew the words and artist was by Simply Red, but could not place the album, I think it's 'Fairground'
OK try this, a bit harder I think:
"how bout no longer being masochistic"
"how bout remembering your divinity"
"how bout unabashedly bawling your eyes out"
"how bout not equating death with stopping"

Hmmm, I must remember that you don't know any songs sung by weird little Canadians persons who like to sing naked.
OK, here is another one:
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.
