Good Morning Ladies,

After lifting my carpets the tiles needed a good clean. My problem is that no matter what I use they look streaky. Anyone got any suggestions? Too big an expanse to do them on my hands and knees.

Thanks

Why not try vinegar and water with maybe a little bit of washing up liquid, vinegar ia a very old fashioned way of cleaning things such as windows and bathroom tiles so may be worth a try and it's cheap also can be used for de-scaling kettles and irons. :)

I thought about taking my carpets up and stowing them for the summer a bit ago .... but then I got me a spanking new vac that works (Thanks HL - without your recommendation of that red Bissell, I'd never have handed over that amount of cash willingly!)

But anyway!
My tiles are sort of like cream coloured high shine ceramic and there's an awful lot of it and I hate trying to get rid of streaks. A bit ago I picked up some of that Mr Muscle ceramic floor cleaner and it's a godsend! It's specially made to be squeegee friendly and works like a dream with no streaks and a lovely fresh smell. I have a floor buffer mop thing too - sort of a flat mop that swishes round the apartment and that really boosts the shine too - and is great for inbetween floor cleanings.

It is a good vac isn't it, quite strong it has enough suction that it pulls along on it's own Goddess. I have fitted carpets throughout the villa much easier than sweeping then mopping and friendlier on the soles of my feet :)

I use BOMM for difficult stains (very good in bathrooms but rinse well near stainless steel fittings)...then a mild detergent in HOT water then Vinegar & water.

Im a bugger for paddling around without shipship so I have yeti footprints everywhere ;-)
